Tantalum plate is a plate made of metal tantalum, which is a silver-white, high-density, corrosion-resistant, high-melting transition metal. It has the chemical symbol Ta, atomic number 73, and an atomic weight of 180.95. Tantalum is also a highly corrosion and high-temperature-resistant material with chemical stability and excellent electrical and thermal properties. It is a gray-black metal with a density as high as 16.6 g/cm^3 and a melting point as high as 3,017°C. Due to its excellent chemical stability and electrolyte chemistry, Tantalum is widely used in the manufacture of chemical reactors, vacuum furnaces, medical devices, capacitors, LEDs, and semiconductor devices. It is also often considered a strategic material due to its scarcity and high price. Its chemical composition only contains Ta element, no other impurities.
Tantalum sheet is a high-purity metallic material with the following physical and chemical properties:
1. Physical properties
- Density: 16.6 g/cm3
- Melting point: 3017°C
- Thermal conductivity: 57 W/(m·K)
- Coefficient of thermal expansion: 6.3×10-6/K
2. Chemical properties
Corrosion resistance: It has excellent corrosion resistance in most acids, alkalis, and salt solutions, especially for strong acid and strong alkali solutions such as hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, ammonium chloride and sodium hydroxide corrosion resistance.
Chemical stability: It has high chemical stability and is not prone to chemical reactions under high temperatures and high pressure.
Oxidation property: It has good oxidation properties and can form a dense oxide layer at high temperatures, making it have better corrosion resistance.
In general, it has high corrosion resistance, chemical stability, and oxidation resistance, so it is widely used in chemical industry, electronics, aerospace and other fields. In general, the chemical composition of tantalum plates is as follows:

4. Manufacture Process
The production process of tantalum metal plate is as follows:
1) Material selection: According to customer requirements and product specifications, high-purity tantalum ingots are selected for production.
2) Melting: Melting the selected tantalum ingot at high temperature to make it into a liquid state.
3) Casting: casting the molten tantalum liquid into a plate shape, and the required thickness and size can be obtained by controlling the temperature and casting speed.
4) Processing: The tantalum plate is processed, such as cutting, polishing, embossing, etc., to meet the needs and specifications of customers.
5) Testing: Strict quality testing is carried out on tantalum sheets, such as physical properties, chemical composition, etc., to ensure that the products meet relevant standards and requirements.
6) Packing: Pack the qualified tantalum metal plate to ensure that it will not be damaged during transportation.
5. Packing Details
Plastic bags and kraft paper as inside, wooden case as outside.

6. Application fields
High-temperature materials, vacuum containers, X-ray tubes, cobalt shells for cobalt 60 treatment, high-temperature furnaces, capacitors, electronic devices, chemical reaction vessels, vacuum systems, atomic energy and nuclear industry, medicine, biotechnology, and other fields. In short, the application fields of tantalum plates are quite extensive.
