Nitinol  Raw Material 

The selection of raw materials is the beginning of everything and the top priority in making nickel-titanium springs, so we must match the raw materials for smelting according to the performance of the customer's micro-jewelry nitinol springs, rather than simply heating to change the flexibility of the NiTi springs. 

Smelting

Smelting is the beginning of everything and the most important thing. The quality of your nitinol products is determined by smelting.herefore, we must control the temperature, humidity, nickel content, oxygen content, carbon content and other factors during the smelting process.

Forging

Forging refers to a processing technology in which we use pressure to change the shape of the smelted nickel-titanium ingot to obtain forgings with mechanical properties, shapes and sizes that meet customer needs. Only after forging can the ingots obtain the nitinol performance that meets customer needs.

Rolling

In metallurgical engineering, rolling, also known as calendering, refers to the process of rolling the NiTi ingot through a pair of rollers to give it a shape. If the temperature of nitinol exceeds its recrystallization temperature during rolling, then the process is called "hot rolling", otherwise it is called "cold rolling". 

Squaring

The square root of Nitinol ingot, as the name suggests, is that we cut the rolled nitinol billet into blocks of different sizes according to the size of the order to be produced, and then carry out the next step of rough drawing.

Drawing

We put the shape memory nitinol ingot on the rolling mill for a rough drawing, which is called drawing wire rod. In this process, we do not simply draw, but anneal and draw the wire rod according to the performance of the product required by the customer.

Peeling

Nitinol peeling refers to removing the oxide scale on the wire rod. Because we need to anneal multiple times in the process of drawing nickel-titanium, black oxide will appear on its surface. We polish it through physical polishing.

Heat Treatment

Nitinol heat treatment means that we put the drawn wire rod into the heat treatment furnace for heating. Since the memory alloy is very hard, its ductility can be changed after heat treatment, making it easier to draw into wire.

Drawing Nitinol Wire

We put the heat-treated wire rod into the rolling mill and then draw the superelastic nitinol wire for springs. According to the wire diameter, we need to perform multiple heat treatments to draw the wire until the required size is reached.

Custom Molds

We need to customize the best mold according to the size of the customer's jewelry nitinol spring. First, our design department will design the drawings, and then we will process the mold required for the micro NiTi spring.

Making NiTi Spring

Finally, we use the cleaned Super -elastic Nitinol Wire and the mold to start making the micro nitinol spring for jewelry required by the customer. After the springs are completed, we need to test and inspect them before shipping.
