Titanium foil roll is a thin sheet roll made of pure titanium. Because of its stability and high strength in harsh environments such as high temperature, high pressure, and corrosion, it is widely used in aerospace, petrochemical, and other fields. Pure titanium is a lightweight, high-strength, and corrosion-resistant metal material with good biocompatibility, and is also widely used in medical devices, implants, and human bone joints. Titanium foil is usually made by cold rolling or hot rolling process. It has excellent physical and chemical properties and corrosion resistance and is a high-performance material.
Titanium foil roll is a flake metal material, its main physical and chemical properties are as follows:
1. Physical properties
- Density: 4.5 g/cm3;
- Melting point: 1668 ℃;
- Thermal conductivity: 21.9 W/(m K);
- Conductivity: 6.7 × 10^4 S/m;
- Hardness: HB 160-290.
2. Chemical properties
- Corrosion resistance: It has good corrosion resistance and can resist acid, alkali, salt, and other strong corrosive media;
- Oxidation: It is susceptible to oxidation, but the oxide layer formed in the atmosphere can protect its surface from further oxidation;
- Machinability: It has good machinability and malleability, and its shape and properties can be changed by heating and forging.

3. Production Process

1) Material preparation: Select high-quality titanium materials and cut them into appropriate sizes and shapes as required.
2) Surface treatment: Clean and remove impurities on the surface of titanium materials by chemical or mechanical means to ensure the surface finish.
3) Cutting: Cut the titanium material into thin slices according to the required size and shape.
4) Rolling: Roll the cut titanium sheet through a rolling machine to compress the thickness of the titanium sheet to the required thickness.
5) Flattening: By grinding or stretching, the surface flatness of the titanium sheet can meet the requirements.
6) Assembly: Assemble the processed titanium sheets into rolls or sheets.
7) Inspection: Perform visual inspection and dimensional inspection on the processed titanium flakes to ensure that they meet the requirements.
8) Packaging: The processed titanium flakes are packaged and labeled for easy storage and use.
Titanium foil roll is usually made of pure titanium. It has the advantages of lightweight, high strength, and corrosion resistance, so it has been widely used in the aerospace industry, chemical industry, marine engineering, and other fields.
4. Working Principle
- Lightweight and high-strength: Since the density of titanium is only half that of iron, titanium with the same mass is lighter than other metals, and at the same time has high strength, which is suitable for making high-strength and lightweight components.
- Corrosion resistance: Titanium is not easy to corrode in air, water, and most chemical media, and can even work for a long time in strong acid and high-temperature environments, which makes titanium materials widely used in chemical and marine engineering fields.
- Stable and reliable: Titanium materials have good thermal and chemical stability, and will not change and corrode during use, so they can maintain long-term stable performance.
In short, the working principle of titanium foil is based on the excellent properties of titanium materials to meet the needs of different industries, thereby improving product quality and performance, and meeting people's needs for high-tech materials.
5. Application Fields
Titanium foil roll can be used in several fields of application:
- Chemical industry: used in the manufacture of components for chemical reactors, ion exchange columns, and other chemical equipment.
- Aerospace Industry: Components used in the manufacture of aerospace and aerospace devices, such as engines, bulkheads, and airfoils.
- Medical devices: Components used to make medical devices such as artificial joints, dental and surgical implants.
- Electronics industry: components used in the manufacture of electronic equipment, such as battery electrodes, computer hard disk platters, and electronic touch screens.
- Sporting Goods: Used to manufacture high-end competitive sporting goods, such as golf clubs and bicycle frames.
In general, titanium foil can be used for automation, high refinement, and reconstruction purposes in many fields due to its high strength, lightweight, excellent corrosion resistance, and other characteristics.
