Product Introduction

Tantalum foil is a flake material made of Tantalum. Tantalum is a gray metallic element with the chemical symbol Ta. Also a very rare noble metal, it is a chemical element in the fifth cycle with atomic number 73. Tantalum has a very high melting point and corrosion resistance, allowing it to withstand extreme environments, including strong acids and high temperatures. The chemical composition of tantalum strip is mainly tantalum element, and other impurity elements such as iron, copper, chromium, molybdenum, zirconium and so on. The content of these impurity elements is usually very low, less than 1%.

3. Production Process

 

The production process of tantalum foil is as follows:

 

1) Raw material procurement and inspection: purchase high-purity tantalum block or tantalum powder, and conduct chemical analysis and physical performance testing.

2) Preparation of tantalum powder: put tantalum block or tantalum powder into a special reactor, and react with hydrogen or methane gas to prepare tantalum powder.

3) Preparation of metal tantalum: sinter tantalum powder under high temperature and high-pressure environment to produce tantalum billet.

4) Processing of tantalum billet: Cut the tantalum billet into appropriate size, and then perform hot rolling or cold rolling processing to prepare the tantalum plate or tantalum strip.

5) Surface treatment: The tantalum plate or tantalum metal foil is subjected to surface treatment such as mechanical processing and chemical polishing to make the surface smoothness meet the requirements.
